In today’s world, where admission into your child’s dream college has become much more competitive, strong SAT/ACT scores and GPAs have become increasingly insufficient.

Across universities in the U.S. and the world, communication, critical thinking, leadership and teamwork are seen as critical. According to the National Association for College Admission Counseling, “positive character attributes” rank among the most important factors for applications, ahead of writing samples, teacher recommendations and even ACT/SAT scores.

Set within the serene Utah State University campus, our programme is designed with this challenge in mind. We target the critical, but often overlooked, skills that can materially improve college applications.

This programme was jointly designed by Oxford Global Courses and the Stephen R. Covey Leadership Center, Utah State University.

It is structured by our LEAD approach, which follows a three-step process: students first learn core foundations in skills classes, then apply them through a team project, and finally demonstrate their growth in competitions and presentations, ensuring real, lasting development across communication, debating, critical thinking, leadership, and teamwork.

In addition, the students will participate in extracurricular activities set in the backdrop of Utah State University, and will include hiking, kayaking and a  campus sports day on the college’s fields.

My child received an offer to study History at Oxford thanks to his guidance. He was supportive throughout the process, always ready to answer questions, and gave invaluable advice on how Oxford admissions really work, especially for interviews. I would happily recommend him to any parent whose child is aiming for Oxford or another top university.
